EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE

WEB.exception.service.jpg

He got us on the road, kept us on the road - and warned us if we could get pulled from the road!

Mark Robertson (Robbo) is a legend throughout the land after 30 years of service at the only council-run VicRoads agency in the state.

From licence testing and registration to safety inspections, always with friendly advice and a smile, Mark's dedicated service continues to be a vital resource for our Shire.

Mark and his colleagues were celebrated at an all-staff meeting of Council employees on Tuesday, where Donna Lanfranchi was also recognised for her 15 years of service at the VicRoads agency. Thanks for keeping us moving, team!

HERITAGE PROJECT

Historic Octagonal Pool Reconstruction

There's been much interest in the Octagonal Pool re-build project commenced last week. This is the first stage of a long-term plan to restore the whole Maryborough Outdoor Pool facility. As anyone who has dealt with heritage construction will attest, it doesn't come cheap.

The $2 million heritage grant from the Victorian Government has enabled a detailed plan to be developed for the whole facility, make urgent repairs to the pool’s entry pavilion, and the total rebuild of the smaller, octagonal toddler’s pool.

The heritage grant awarded is specifically to restore and preserve the heritage listed pool precinct and can’t be used for other projects.

ENGAGEMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Help shape the Shire's play spaces

We want families, carers, children and young people of all cultures, identities and abilities to use and enjoy the play spaces in our Shire.

Through our Places for Play Strategy, we are looking to ensure they continue to meet the changing needs of our community both now and into the future.

WEB.playspaces.jpg

This initial community engagement aims to understand what play space locations are being used, what design elements (equipment, trees etc.) are missing, and what new play space areas or designs the community wishes to have.

To learn more about the survey visit:
