A property or premises can be considered unsightly, and possibly dangerous, if it has one or more of the following:
In a commercial/industrial environment, unsightly properties can also have a detrimental impact on business because potential customers associate poor housekeeping/property maintenance practice with poor business practice.
It is in everyone’s interest that properties are well maintained, whether private, commercial or industrial. For these reasons, Section 3.1 of Central Goldfields Shire Local Law requires property owners and occupiers to maintain their properties and prevent them from being dangerous or unsightly.
Council's Transfer Stations located in Bealiba, Carisbrook, Dunolly and Talbot is available to all residents, and is the place to go if you have rubbish or excess material on your property. For many items, it is free.
