With extreme fire danger conditions forecast in the Central Goldfields Shire on Wednesday 28 February, there will be some changes to Council services and facilities.

Council's Customer Service Centre at 22 Nolan Street will be open as normal for in-person enquiries from 9am to 4pm and by phone from 8.30am to 5pm. 

All services not listed below will operate as normal. 

Please note there may be other delays to services as Council staff support the Emergency Relief Centre at Princes Park.

 Central Goldfields Visitor Centre - Closed 

Our friendly Visitor Centre staff will still be available to assist with general enquiries as usual on 0438 868 420 or email visitorinfo@cgoldshire.vic.gov.au

Immunisation Services

Dunolly immunisation session cancelled on Wednesday 28 February 

 

Transfer stations and waste collection services 

Operating as normal however residents encouraged to put their bin out earlier than normal on Wednesday 28 February. Bin collection bin will be slightly earlier due to heat conditions. 

Maternal Child Health Centre

No home visits outside Maryborough.

 Goldfields Family Centre

Childcare will not run on Wednesday 28 February

 Dunolly and Talbot Outdoor Pools - Closed

Indoor pool at Maryborough Sports and Leisure Centre will be open as normal.

 

Maryborough Regional Library - operating as normal 

Beat the heat and visit the Maryborough Regional Library – 91 Nolan Street, Maryborough

Anyone is welcome to come and enjoy the Library’s air-conditioning.

There are comfy chairs to relax in, newspapers, books and magazines to read, free WiFi, computer access and you can also charge your devices.

Stay as long as you like – the Library will be open between 9am and 5pm.
