During her stay, the Governor of Victoria visited various sites and locations across our Shire – meeting the people, organisations and businesses that make our Shire such a wonderful place to work, live and visit.

IN THE PIPELINE

Following a feasibility study, GWM Water is now preparing a business case for extending the Wimmera-Mallee pipeline into the north of Central Goldfields Shire.

The non-drinking water is for agricultural and civic use, such as keeping our parks and gardens green over long dry summers to provide water security for primary production.

The next public meetings are:

  • Navarre Recreation Reserve next Monday, October 9
  • Bealiba Public Hall next Wednesday, October 11

Meetings start at 6pm with a free BBQ, followed by presentations and question time. Further consultation opportunities for later in October will be announced soon.
