HAVING KITTENS

cat3.jpg

Following a prolific breeding season, our animal pound has been inundated with kittens. Most have now been re-homed, but it’s a stark reminder of the importance of cat desexing.

Thanks to an Animal Welfare Victoria grant, we can still offer great value to cat owners. For desexing, registration and microchipping, female cats are $90 and males $50.

Desexing significantly discounts annual registration, from $120 per year to $40. For pensioners, the price drops from $60 to just $20.

ART GALLERY GARDEN

The Indigenous Interpretive Garden project at the newly redeveloped Central Goldfields Art Gallery starts construction today.

The project, jointly funded by the Victorian Government and Council, will sit alongside the Gallery in the open space on the corner of Neill and Campbell Street.

This area will now be fenced off for community safety. Please note there may be some disruption to footpath access at different times during construction.

The Garden has been designed collaboratively with Dja Dja Wurrung community representatives and artists. Construction is expected to finish mid-year.

Parking is not expected to be affected. We will advise of any changes as works progress.

CHANGED INTERSECTION

nolan.napier.changed.intersection.jpg

Drivers through Maryborough are advised that the intersection at the corner of Napier and Nolan streets has been changed.

For safety reasons, the Victorian Department of Transport and Planning has installed left-hand-turn-only lanes out of Nolan street into Napier Street in both directions.

Please observe new signage and approach with care, as other road users become accustomed to the changes.
