Events Strategy
We know community events are important to our whole Shire. They are an important way for us to connect and feel a sense of belonging.
Through our community plans, you told us that events are important to our smaller townships as well.
To help us understand how we can better support our existing events, and explore ways to attract new events, we are inviting our community to complete a short survey.

Heritage Review

Property owners covered by the existing Maryborough Heritage Overlay should have received a letter by mail this week about proposed changes to the overlay.
The proposal is to break down one large overlay into smaller, more defined precincts. The proposal is based on a study by Extent Heritage Pty Ltd, appointed by Council to review the overlay in 2022.
The study and its proposals are now open for comment to the whole community, whether owners of properties affected, or those simply interested in Maryborough’s Heritage.
Printed copies of documents are available from Customer Service at 22 Nolan Street, or you can access and download them online. You can also submit comments directly through your phone or computer.
