Festive period service changes

Waste Collection

Christmas Week – All collection days roll forward one day – Monday 25 December (Christmas Day) will be collected Boxing Day, Tuesday 26 December (as marked on the waste collection calendar)

New Years Week – All collection days roll forward one day – Monday 1 January (New Years Day) will be collected Tuesday 2 January (as marked on the waste collection calendar) 

Greenwaste will be collected Saturday 6 January. 

Transfer Stations

Closures only impact Carisbrook Transfer Station as our other Transfer Stations are closed on public holidays as normal. 

Carisbrook Transfer Station will be closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day. 

Council's Depot will close at 2pm on Friday 22 December 2023 and re-open at 7.30am on Tuesday 2 January 2024. 

There will be a skeleton staff working throughout this period.

Reporting of Urgent defects/hazards to Council's infrastructure can be reported to the on-call number 0419 005 577. 

VicRoads will be closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.

Our Central Goldfields Visitor Centre will remain open throughout the Christmas / New Year holiday period from 9am to 5pm. The only day the Centre will close is Christmas Day. The Centre will re-open on Boxing Day at 9am.

Central Goldfields Art Gallery will close at 4pm on Sunday 24 December, 2023 and will re-open on Thursday 4 January, 2024 at 10am.

The Goldfields Family Centre will close at 6pm on Thursday 21 December, 2023 and will re-open on Monday 8 January. 2024 at 6.45am.

Our Maternal and Child Health service will operate throughout the Christmas / New Year holiday period except for public holidays. 

Our Supported Playgroup service will end this Friday 15 December, 2022 and will resume week one of Term One.

Council's Immunisation service will be closed from 3pm Friday 22 December, 2023 to Tuesday 2 January, 2024.

Throughout January, immunisation sessions will be available as per VaxApp, or appointments made by phone-call.

Our Community Care service will close at 3pm on Friday 22 December 2023 and will re-open on 2 January 2024.

During the closure period, after hours issues relating to Home Care can be made by calling 0418 571 109. 

The Maryborough Library is open:

• 22 December, 9am to 5pm,
• 23 December, 9am to12 noon
• 27 to 29 December (inclusive) 10am to 3pm
• 30 December, 9am to 12noon

Normal hours will commence from 2 January 2024.

The Dunolly Library will be closed from 22 December, 2023 and will re-open on 2 January, 2024.
