$33,250 is up for grabs as part of Central Goldfields Shire Council’s 2022-2023 Community Grants Program.

Grants above $500 are available to community-based organisations looking for financial support to deliver activities, programs, small events, equipment and infrastructure.

Applications are open now and close on Monday 13 June, 2022. To find out more, and to apply online, visit: www.centralgoldfields.vic.gov.au/communitygrants2022

Central Goldfields Shire Cr Anna De Villiers said the Community Support Grant program was a fantastic opportunity for community groups and organisations to seek funding for community led projects.

“Community groups and organisations are integral to our community and we know that funding to deliver projects and events can be challenging to access.

“If you are looking to host an event, activity, program or purchase equipment that will increase community connectedness, promote being active and healthy, or contribute to the local economy then we encourage you to apply for a Community Support Grant.”

Maryborough Mill House Neighbourhood House Coordinator, and past Grant recipient, Michelle Baker said the grant has been so incredible for the team at Mill House and the Maryborough community.

“We have been able to increase our ability to serve our community in wonderful new ways. Our new stove has opened doors for our kitchen to link in with new community programs such as the Jamie Oliver Ministry of Food, and we are exploring new ways to increase the reach of our kitchen to new community initiatives.

“We are very thankful, daily, for the Central Goldfields Shire Community Grants Program.”
