During this period, it will be ‘business as usual’, however, to comply with our Election Period Policy and the Local Government Act 2020, there are restrictions on the kinds of decisions that can be made, and the information that we can communicate to the public. For example, we can't open community consultations. This is to ensure Council actions don't influence voting in the election.

Central Goldfields Shire Council administers Citizenship Ceremonies on behalf of the Department of Immigration and Citizenship.
Attending a Citizenship Ceremony is the final step in the journey to become an Australian citizen and receiving a Certificate of Australian Citizenship. The ceremony fulfils the requirements under Australian citizenship law and provides an opportunity for Council to officially welcome its new citizens. To find out more about Australian Citizenship and the application process contact the Department of Home Affairs.
Once approved, applicants will receive a letter from the Department of Home Affairs and Council will be provided a list of names to include in the next ceremony.
Council will then make contact with you, to invite you to attend a Citizenship Ceremony.
