During this period, it will be ‘business as usual’, however, to comply with our Election Period Policy and the Local Government Act 2020, there are restrictions on the kinds of decisions that can be made, and the information that we can communicate to the public. For example, we can't open community consultations. This is to ensure Council actions don't influence voting in the election.

The Central Goldfields Shire Pound is an ideal place to visit if you are looking for a new animal addition to the family.
Council’s Pound runs a successful rehousing program for any lost animals looking for their forever homes.
Lost animals that are not claimed by their owners enter an adoption process, which includes a vet assessment and behaviour review.
All dogs and cats adopted are vaccinated, microchipped, de-sexed and treated for worms and fleas.
Please note that even if you live outside of Central Goldfields, you will be required to register your new pet with your own local Council. The Central Goldfields Shire is required by law to notify your local Council of the adoption.
