TIP VOUCHERS
Tip vouchers support ratepayers to dispose of waste at our transfer stations, or to have hard waste picked up from their property with no upfront charge. We issue eight vouchers with each annual Rates Notice, valid for 12 months.
Vouchers issued with last year’s Rates Notices remain valid until 30 September 2025.
Please note that to encourage residents to clean up prior to fire season, green waste can be taken to our transfer stations at Dunolly, Carisbrook and Talbot for no upfront charge between Friday 31 October and Tuesday 11 November.
Please note that there is no green waste disposal at our Bealiba Transfer Station.
Vouchers are not required for green waste during this period. For further information visit: www.centralgoldfields.vic.gov.au/sorted
2025-2026 RATES NOTICES
This year, a new section has been added to Rates Notices. The new format aims to provide clarity by differentiating between Central Goldfields Shire rates, and charges from the State Government.
If you are experiencing financial difficulty with the payment of rates, we encourage you to contact us at the earliest possible time.
For additional information about your Rates Notice, including options for payment or financial assistance, visit: www.centralgoldfields.vic.gov.au/rates
HOME ENERGY IMPROVEMENT

For those looking for energy solutions, a Sustainable House Day will be held on Sunday 21 September from 11am to 1pm. Hosted by the Goldfields Sustainability Group, two homes will be opened – one newly built to take advantage of sustainable energy, while the other is an older building which has been retrofitted for greater efficiency and comfort.
The Home Energy Empowerment Program is a regional collaboration to help our community reduce their energy consumption, improve home comfort and save on energy bills.
