HOW SAFE DO YOU FEEL AFTER DARK?

Council is developing a new Public Lighting Strategy and wants to hear from residents about the places where lighting makes a difference — the streets you use, the areas that feel welcoming, and the spots that feel unsafe.

The Draft Public Lighting Strategy is open for feedback until 5pm, Friday 19 June 2026.

Complete the survey at: www.engage.cgoldshire.vic.gov.au/lights

TREE PRUNING

Council’s Open Spaces team will be working with contractors across the Shire to clear branches from around powerlines.

Tree pruning will begin Monday 15 June and is expected to take two to three weeks. This essential work is carried out in line with the Electric Line Clearance Management Plan to help maintain community safety and a reliable power supply.

If you’re aware of any trees that may need attention due to damage or safety concerns, you can upload a photo and provide details at: www.centralgoldfields.vic.gov.au/Report-A-Problem
