C34cgol Omnibus amendment approved

Central Goldfields Shire Council adopted the C34cgol Planning Scheme Amendment at the March Council Meeting held on  Tuesday 28 March 2023.

At the Meeting, Council formally considered all the submissions received during the public exhibition period in late 2022, made appropriate changes to the amendment in response to the submissions and requested the approval of the amendment to the Minister for Planning.

The amendment implements several important council strategies including the Planning Scheme Review 2020. It updates the planning scheme to provide clear guidance to all users and sets the foundation for other strategic works around the Shire.

The amendment was on public exhibition from 21 September to 3 November 2022. It was then taken to Council for consideration in December 2022, however it was deferred to March 2023 to further consider the all the submissions.

Council will now work with the Department of Transport and Planning to seek the Minister’s approval on the amendment.
