Community Grants 2026-2027

Community Grants support local projects across the Shire

Nine community-led projects across Central Goldfields Shire will share more than $20,000 in funding through Council’s 2026–2027 Community Grants Program.

Central Goldfields Shire Council has allocated $20,609 to support initiatives that strengthen community connections, encourage participation, improve local facilities and services, and build environmental sustainability.

The annual Community Grants Program provides funding for community organisations to deliver projects that benefit residents across the municipality. Grants of between $500 and $3,000 were available through four funding categories: Infrastructure, Creativity and Innovation, Community Development and Climate Action.

Acting Mayor Cr Anna de Villiers said the program continues to play an important role in supporting grassroots projects that make a difference in local communities.

“Community groups and volunteers are at the heart of what makes our towns vibrant, connected and resilient.

“These grants help local organisations bring their ideas to life, whether that’s improving facilities, supporting community participation, strengthening sustainability initiatives or creating new opportunities for people to connect.

“This year’s successful projects reflect the passion and commitment of community organisations working to create positive outcomes across the Shire.”
