WASTE BATTERIES

Batteries cannot go into any of your bins because they can cause fires, either in the bin itself or in the trucks that collect your waste.

They also contain toxic substances that are harmful to you and the environment.

Batteries need their metal parts taped over and then disposed of at a battery drop-off point for recycling. That way, you keep your household and our environment safe from harmful materials.

Battery recycling drop-off points are free to use and located at:

  • Coles Maryborough
  • Crameri Mitre 10
  • Woolworths Maryborough
  • Aldi Maryborough

To find other battery recycling drop-off points, visit: www.bcycle.com.au/
