As part of our free, family-friendly Australia Day 2026 event in Maryborough, medallions will be presented to all of our new babies born during 2025 and kinder books will be presented to all three and four-year-old children starting kindergarten in 2026.

You can register for these free gifts by visiting:

All residents are invited to the event, which will be held at the Station Domain on Monday 26 January 2026 from 8.30am.

The festivities include a free breakfast, fun children’s activities, a Citizenship Ceremony to welcome residents becoming Australian Citizens and the presentation of the books and medallions.

ROAD CONSTRUCTION

As part of our ongoing upgrades to improve safety at intersections in Maryborough, the corner of Napier and Brougham streets is now under construction.

Temporary traffic lights are in operation and drivers are asked to be patient and keep to the 40km/h speed limit when moving through the area.

The upgrade is being carried out by our Roads and Works team, with funding from the Victorian Government’s Safe Local Roads and Streets program, which is being delivered in partnership with the Traffic Accident Commission.
