COUNT DOWN TO ENERGY BREAKTHROUGH
Our biggest event on the calendar – Energy Breakthrough – is just around the bend.
Maryborough will be buzzing when the five-day event rolls into Princes Park from Wednesday 18 to Sunday 22 November, 2026.
For our 34th year we are excited to welcome: 3,500 participants and their families, 260+ teams, 15,000 visitors, 100+ school and $3.9 million injected into the local economy
For the fourth consecutive year, Community Bank Avoca, Maryborough and St Arnaud will support the 700+ volunteers who bring Energy Breakthrough to life.
Volunteering gives you the best seat in the house to experience all the excitement, innovation and energy of our Shire’s biggest event, while playing a vital role in its success.
From track marshals and judges to communications, social media, design and construction, there are plenty of ways to get involved – even for just a morning, afternoon or day.
Volunteers will receive a special gift from Community Bank, free meals during shifts, a T-shirt and lanyard, the chance to make new connections and, of course, the best seat in the house for all the action!
