The Victorian Government is making the intersection of the Pyrenees Highway, High Street and Inkerman Street in Maryborough safer for all road users.

Raised pedestrian crossings, also known as wombat crossings, will be installed on each approach to the roundabout.

This project is being funded as part of the Australian Government Black Spot Program.

To complete these works as quickly and safely as possible, the intersection at Pyrenees Highway, High Street and Inkerman Street will be fully closed for 4 weeks from Monday 10 August 2026.

During the intersection closure detours will be in place. Please follow signage, plan ahead and allow an extra 5 minutes of travel time through the area.

Heavy vehicles will be detoured via existing approved b-double routes on arterial and local roads.
