Community Grant applications opening July

A total of $30,000 in funding will be available as part of the 2026-2027 Central Goldfields Shire Community Grants Program.

Applications open Wednesday 1 July and close at 4pm, Wednesday 29 July 2026.

Grants of $500 to $3,000 are available for community‑based organisations seeking financial support to deliver activities, programs, small events, equipment or infrastructure.

Council is committed to funding projects that align with its strategic objectives and policy outcomes. Applicants are encouraged to read Community Vision 2031, the Council Plan 2025–2029 and familiarise themselves with Your Community 2030 – 10 Year Community Plans before applying.

All potential applicants must attend a Community Grants Program Information Session and discuss their project with a Council officer prior to submitting an application.

Information Session dates:

Session 1: Friday 19 June, 10 to 11.30am - Community Hub Rooms 1 & 2

Session 2: Monday 22 June, 5 to 6.30pm - Community Hub Rooms 1 & 2

Session 3: Tuesday 23 June, 1.30 to 3pm - Community Hub Rooms 1 & 2

“Our community groups are incredibly important, particularly as many navigate challenging economic conditions. These grants help them continue delivering the projects and events that lift and connect our community.
