The 2025 Active Living Census is now available for Central Goldfields Shire residents to complete online at www.healthyloddoncampaspe.au/alc

The Active Living Census, which was conducted the Central Goldfields Shire in 2019, is a vital regional survey that will collect important data on residents’ health, wellbeing, and lifestyle habits to guide future community planning and investment.

Healthy Loddon Campaspe, a Victorian State Government-funded initiative aimed at improving health outcomes in the region, is delivering the 2025 Active Living Census (ALC) in partnership with the six local government areas of Greater Bendigo, Campaspe, Central Goldfields, Loddon, Macedon Ranges and Mount Alexander Shires.

Covering key topics such as physical activity, nutrition, life satisfaction, and access to recreational opportunities, the ALC will provide a snapshot of how people in the Central Goldfields and our region live and what barriers they may face to staying healthy and active.

Central Goldfields Shire Mayor Councillor Grace La Vella urged all residents to take part by completing the online census.

“The Active Living Census is a crucial tool for understanding the health and wellbeing needs of our community.

“The more people who participate, the clearer the picture we get. We strongly encourage everyone, young or old, active or not to take 15 minutes to fill it out. It’s your health, your community, your say.

“Thanks to community involvement in the 2019 Active Living Census we have gained funding that has delivered a range of projects across the Central Goldfields from workshops, infrastructure, education programs, activities and programs.

“The insights from this year’s ALC will be just as valuable in shaping our city’s future and the so we are again calling on every household to help build a healthier Central Goldfields Shire by completing the online census.”

Completing the census online is easy, anonymous, and takes around 15 minutes.

Every response helps inform decisions that affect your daily life – from improving bike paths, playgrounds and facilities, to increasing access to healthy food and ways to be physically active.

Everyone who completes the census online will have the chance to be in the draw to win their share of $10,000 in prizes in the early bird and weekly prize draws.
