Container Deposit Scheme  

A scheme run by the State Government to provide a 10c refund for every eligible can, carton and bottle returned (No crushing!).

VISY is the Network Operator for Central Goldfields region (North Zone).

In Central Goldfields, selected services provide the local deposit services on behalf of the network operator Visy:

The State Government launched the Container Deposit Scheme (CDS) on the 1st of November 2023.

Visit Victoria‘s Container Deposit Scheme | Find Eligible Containers (cdsvic.org.au) for a list of eligible containers when they are announced.
