During this period, it will be ‘business as usual’, however, to comply with our Election Period Policy and the Local Government Act 2020, there are restrictions on the kinds of decisions that can be made, and the information that we can communicate to the public. For example, we can't open community consultations. This is to ensure Council actions don't influence voting in the election.
Election Period Policy
As outlined in the 2017 Central Goldfields Shire Road Management Plan(PDF, 6MB), Council works to ensure the standards and priorities given to the inspection, maintenance and repair of Council roads make them safe for use by the community.
