During this period, it will be ‘business as usual’, however, to comply with our Election Period Policy and the Local Government Act 2020, there are restrictions on the kinds of decisions that can be made, and the information that we can communicate to the public. For example, we can't open community consultations. This is to ensure Council actions don't influence voting in the election.

The 2022-23 Central Goldfields Youth Council served for 18 months between July 2022 and December 2023. 15 young people served across this term, representing communities in and around the Central Goldfields region.

In 2023, Khoa Do and Safhira Rowe were each elected as Youth Mayor for six-month terms. Anakin Hurley and Silas Knighton-Weire each served a six-month term as Deputy Youth Mayor, while Elizabeth Lewington served a total of 12 months as Deputy Youth Mayor.
