The Talbot Town Hall Community Market will be re-launched this Sunday, 18 February at 9am with a new name.

Managed by a passionate group of volunteers as part of the Town Hall Committee of Management, the Market, formerly known as the Talbot Town Hall Market, will now be known as the Talbot Town Hall Community Market.

Talbot Town Hall Committee of Management President and Central Goldfields Shire 2024 Citizen of the Year Aileen Marshall said the Committee for Management was committed to seeing the Market grow in popularity under their leadership.

“We are excited to welcome some fresh faces on the Committee and we all feel really passionate about seeing the Market return to its strong community-based roots.

“The Talbot Town Hall Community Market is really important to our community – plus, it’s also a significant fundraiser for the Talbot Town Hall.

“As a committee we are excited for its future and dedicated to its continued success and to providing a great experience for our stallholders.

“New stallholders and volunteers for our Market are most welcome. Likewise, if you are keen to join our Committee of Management and be involved in the future of the Market we encourage you to nominate with us. For further information call Tina on 0461 526 865. We’d love to hear from you!”

Central Goldfields Shire Paddy’s Ranges Ward Councillor Chris Meddows-Taylor said he was very much looking forward to attending the Talbot Town Hall Community Market re-launch on Sunday.

“Congratulations to the new Committee of Management for their passion, tenacity and community spirit over the last few months as they have worked hard behind the scenes to ensure the Market will prosper into the future.

“The Talbot Town Hall Community Market, and the Talbot Farmers Market, are highly valued and much-loved by our local community.

“They not only drive tourism but create social opportunities for residents to come together, connect whilst supporting our wonderful stallholders at the same time.

“I wish the Committee every success for a successful Market Day on Sunday.”
