  • Capital Ornamental Pear Pyrus calleryana 'Capital'
  • Black Plum Prunus Nigra
  • Cleveland Select Pyrus Calleryana
  • Cimmaron Ash Fraxinus pennsylvanica ‘Cimmazam’

To request a tree planting in your location:

All requests will be sent to our Operations Department and considered for planting between May and June 2024. Applications close Friday 1 March.

Contaminated Compost

We have an optional green waste bin service for residents, and those who participate can claim up to one bag of free, high quality compost each month from our Carisbrook Transfer Station, when available.

As this service has become more popular, we are receiving an increased amount of contaminated waste. This can limit the availability of the high-quality compost, as it needs to be re-sorted before being processed.

To reduce the cost of processing and to deliver the quality compost, please avoid contamination with garden hoses, clothing, cans, plastics etc.

To order an optional green waste bin with its compost offer:

  • Call our Customer Service Team: 5461 0610 between 8.30am and 4pm, Monday to Friday
  • Use a smartphone or computer to order anytime at: www.centralgoldfields.vic.gov.au/greenwasteservice
  • Write to us: 22 Nolan Street, Maryborough, Victoria, 3465
  • Email us: mail@cgoldshire.vic.gov.au

Optional green waste bins are available to residents in the urban areas of Dunolly, Talbot, Carisbrook and Maryborough. There is an additional charge on rates for extra bins.
