Community Information Sessions

emergency-sessions.png

Are you prepared for an emergency? Do you have a plan?

We’re partnering with Loddon Shire to host free community information sessions across both Shires in the coming months.

The sessions will help you prepare for what to do in the case of flood, bushfire, storm or heatwave.

  • The sessions will cover:
    • Identifying the natural disaster risks we face
    • Definition of terms used, such as ‘place of last resort’ and ‘fire danger rating scale’
    • Why your home needs an emergency plan and how to prepare one
    • What to do if your plan fails
    • How the community can support each other
    • The role of emergency services – including Council.
    • Where to get reliable sources of information.
