Official Visitor Guide and 2019 Art Gallery program launched

Central Goldfields Shire Council last week launched the Maryborough and Surrounds Official Visitor Guide and 2019 Central Goldfields Art Gallery Exhibition Program.

The new Visitor Guide is the Central Goldfields Shire’s most significant tourism publication, featuring editorial to showcase this unique and diverse region of Maryborough and surrounds.

The Visitor Guide also showcases our regions highlights through events and festivals, things to see and do, arts, culture and heritage, food and wine, retail, accommodation, and liveability.

25,000 copies have been printed for distribution to visitor centres across the state to help encourage visitors to the Central Goldfields Shire.

The 2019 Art Gallery Exhibition Program highlights eight unique and inspiring exhibitions that the Central Goldfields Art Gallery will host in 2019.

Some of these exhibitions include works from renowned artist Deborah Halpern and Indigenous display Ngardang Girri Kalat Mimini (Mother Aunty Sister Daughter) by local Indigenous artist Georgia MacGuire. This will be the first exhibition of its kind in Australia.

Community Satisfaction Survey

Residents are advised that from Monday 4 February, for the period of up to three weeks, your household may receive a phone call from an independent market research agency, National Field Services.

National Fields Services have been commissioned by Local Government Victoria to conduct the annual community satisfaction survey on behalf of Victorian Councils including Central Goldfields Shire.

The survey has been designed to assess the performance of Central Goldfields Shire across a range of measures to identify ways to provide improvement or more effective service delivery to residents.

The survey will involve telephone interviews conducted among a representative sample of residents.

We appreciate you taking the time to assist us with your valuable feedback.

Please be assured that your details and individual responses are confidential. Only the overall results are shared with Central Goldfields Shire Council.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the Central Goldfields Shire Council Customer Service Centre on 5461 0610.
