Community Grants now open

$33,250 is up for grabs as part of Council’s 2022-2023 Community Grants Program.

Grants above $500 are available to community-based organisations looking for financial support to deliver activities, programs, small events, equipment and infrastructure.

Applications are open now and close on Monday 13 June, 2022.

Proposed Budget 2022/23

The 2022-23 Proposed Budget is now available for the community to review and provide feedback.

It is focused on implementing the key objectives of the 2021-2025 Council Plan as well as our commitment to deliver more than 40 services for the community.

Draft Motorised Mobility Device Strategic Plan

Community feedback is now invited on the Draft Motorised Mobility Device Strategic Plan.

Through this Draft Plan, we seek to better support the scooter community by clearly identifying the needs of people who live in Maryborough who use motorised mobility devices.

Draft Maryborough Recreation Reserves Master Plans

The Draft Maryborough Major Sport and Recreation Reserve Master Plans are now available for community feedback.

Developed with input from user groups, stakeholders and the wider community the Draft Master Plans for Princes Park, Jack Pascoe Reserve and J.H Hedges Memorial Park aim to provide clear direction around further development and management of the three precincts.

Dunolly wayfinding signage

Community feedback is now invited on new wayfinding signage in Dunolly. This is in response to community feedback we received through the development of the Community Township Plan for Dunolly and district.

COMMUNITY FLU VACCINATION PROGRAM

Did you know you can book your flu vaccination through Council’s Immunisation Service?

A community flu vaccination session will be held next Tuesday 10 May 6 to 9pm at the Tullaroop Leisure Centre, Carisbrook.

Flu vaccinations are $15 unless you are eligible for a free/funded vaccine. Bookings are essential.

PROJECT UPDATE

Talbot road upgrades

Works to upgrade Rowe Street and Prince Alfred Street in Talbot are continuing.

The $670,000 project is fully funded by Council and is being delivered by our Operations team.

The project is expected to be complete mid to late May, 2022 – weather depending.

Bealiba, road upgrade

The $380,000 upgrade to Main Street in Bealiba is now underway. The project is funded by the Federal Government’s Roads to Recovery program.

Emergency Information Sessions

We’re partnering with Loddon Shire to host emergency information sessions across both Shires to help you prepare for what to do in the case of: Flood, Bushfire, Storm and Heatwave. Upcoming sessions include:

  • Maryborough Library - Thursday 12 May, 10am to 4pm
  • Maryborough Mill House Community Lunch event - Friday 13 May, 11am to 2pm
  • Carisbrook Market - Saturday 14 May, 9am to 4pm  
  • Talbot Town Hall Market - Sunday 15 May, 9am to 1pm
  • Maryborough Community House community morning tea - Wednesday 18 May, 10am to 2pm
