Public holiday closure – Monday 9 March
Our Customer Service Centre, 22 Nolan Street, Maryborough will close for the Labour Day public holiday on Monday 9 March.
The closure includes the Maryborough Regional Library, Goldfields Family Centre and Depot/Pound.
Our after hours service will operate as normal. Urgent after hours issues that relate to Council infrastructure can be reported on 0419 005 577.
After hours issues in regards to urgent animal control can be reported on 0407 508 448.
All locations will re-open on Tuesday 10 March at 8.30am.
Our next round of listening posts will be held on 23 and 24 March. Administrators Noel Harvey, Karen Douglas and Hugh Delahunty will visit townships across the municipality to meet and chat with residents.

Free Parenting Sessions
Parents and carers are invited to attend two parenting sessions at the Goldfields Family Centre. The sessions are free and will be facilitated by Catholic Care Sandhurst:
- Parenting Conversation: Thursday 12 March from 10 to 11.30am
An opportunity for parents and carers to gather over morning tea and discuss ideas related to parenting. The session provides an informal space for parents to share their current child related issues and ideas.
- Connecting with Kids: Wednesday 15 April from 6 to 8.30pm
A workshop focusing on using emotional intelligence to understand and guide children’s behaviour, this workshop covers beliefs around parenting as well as information on brain development and children’s emotional development.

Animal registrations due by 10 April
Pet owners are reminded that animal registration payments are due on Friday 10 April.
Animal registration is required under the Domestic Animals Act 1994 and all dogs and cats over three months of age must be registered with Council and microchipped.
Registering a dog or cat greatly improved the chances of it being returned if it became lost.
Residents can pay their animal registration via:
- BPay – online or by telephone
- In person - Customer Service Centre, 22 Nolan Street, Maryborough
- Mail – cheques can be mailed to PO Box 194, Maryborough, 3465
