IMMUNISATION SESSIONS

Council’s immunisation team is hosting monthly immunisation sessions in Talbot and Dunolly through to December, 2022. 

The sessions are free for all vaccinations on the National Immunisation Programs, and for all ages.

FOR FAMILIES

The latest round of the Victorian Government's Get Active Kids Voucher Program is now open.

Eligible Victorians can now apply for a $200 Get Active Kids voucher online which can then be redeemed at a registered provider – such as a local sporting club or organisation – or claim reimbursement for expenses incurred (including uniforms).

Applications close at 5pm on 30 November. To apply or for more information, visit the program website https://getactive.vic.gov.au/vouchers/

Did you know that the Energy Breakthrough relies on more than 1000 volunteers each year?  

Applications are now open to register your interest in volunteering for the 2022 Energy Breakthrough, which will take place on 16-20 November, 2022.

We have partnered with Make a Change Australia, to bring the Expand Your Impact program to the Central Goldfields Shire.

It’s FREE and all residents, businesses and organisations are invited to benefit.

Expand Your Impact is a collaborative initiative designed to encourage you to think a little differently and grow success in any area of life. Your participation can be via subscribing to receive resources; attending the online workshops; joining a supportive network or all of these great opportunities rolled into one.

Planning Scheme Amendment

Council has prepared Amendment C34cgol to the Central Goldfields Planning Scheme. The amendment applies to all land within the Central Goldfields Shire.

The amendment proposes to:  

  • Introduce new or revised local content into Central Goldfields Shire Planning Scheme in order to implement the Central Goldfields Planning Scheme Review 2020 and other adopted Council Strategies.
  • Incorporate content from relevant strategies of state agencies.
  • Remove a redundant overlay (Schedule 2 to the Environmental Significance Overlay) from a former abattoir site (Penny and Lang Abattoirs) on the Pyrenees Highway in Flagstaff

The amendment is now on public exhibition and community members can view the document to make a submission on the proposed changes – visit www.engage.cgoldshire.vic.gov.au/planningschemeamendment.

The amendment documents can also be viewed free of charge, at the following locations:

  • Online at the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning website www.delwp.vic.gov.au/public-inspection.
  • In hard copy at the Council’s Customer Service Centre, 22 Nolan Street, Maryborough.

Climate Conversation Month

Following the recent adoption of the Central Goldfields Climate Action Plan – this October our community host a variety of events to get residents thinking, talking and taking part in climate action.

Events include Climate Conversations, Home Energy Efficiency Workshop, Information stand at Goldfields Community Festival and Community renewable energy and home sustainability forum.
