With more wet weather expected over the coming weeks and months, we encourage residents to be prepared.

    Murray Basin Rail Project
The Ararat-Maryborough rail freight line will be closed to trains from midnight 2 November to 7.30pm, 15 December, 2022.

The shutdown is in place to allow the ballasting and tamping of the track to complete the upgrade that commenced earlier this year with the re-railing of the line.
  • Please be advised that the rail corridor will remain a dangerous construction site during this time, despite the absence of trains, with heavy machinery using the line and heavy vehicles using the Pyrenees Highway and adjacent sites. The public is reminded not to enter the rail corridor.

For more information on the Murray Basin Rail Project, contact Regional Rail Revival on 1800 105 105.
