Powerline inspections underway
CitiPower and Powercor Australia is currently undertaking powerline inspections from the air as part of their year-round vegetation inspection and tree-cutting program.
If you live in Maryborough or Dunolly you may notice helicopters in the area between now and early April.
The helicopters are fitted with advanced Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) technology to accurately identify the distances of trees to powerlines. This information is fed back to teams that will cut the vegetation away from powerlines to keep the network and community safe.
The helicopters will be using the Maryborough Aerodrome for landing and refuelling and are expected to land in Maryborough several times across this period.

Thank you for your feedback
Over the past few weeks, we invited our community to share their views on the Commonwealth Home support program (Aged Care Review) that provides in home support and other aged care services in Central Goldfields Shire.
This is in response to the Commonwealth Government introducing significant changes to the funding and delivery of aged care services, including those delivered by Council.
Thank you to the more than 170 people who completed the survey and those who attended information sessions within the community and at the Mill House last week.
Your input is important to us so that we can be best prepared for these changes.
The feedback will now be put together with a report to go to Council mid-year to be considered.

Whilst hair line cracks can be quite normal in concrete slabs of this size, we are working with the contractor in accordance with the 12-month defect guarantee period to determine if any of the larger cracks need attention and any further steps we might need to take.
We’ll keep the community updated.
Rest assured the facility is safe and structurally sound for the community to use now and well into the future.
