New tourism website launched

Last week, Council launched the new Maryborough and Surrounds tourism website.

The new site delivers marketing, including digital and social media, accommodation bookings, and ticketing services, along with being mobile responsive.

The overall website was part of a region wide project undertaken by our regional tourism board, Bendigo Regional Tourism and the platform supports the tourism websites of Bendigo and Heathcote, Loddon Valley, and Castlemaine, Maldon and surrounding regions.

The overall aim is to have a responsive regional consumer website that meets best-practice digital marketing, and leads visitors to move through the planning journey to conversion.

The website is highly visual in design and structure, and has automation and aggregation.

Content has been carefully curated and has been mapped out to the visitor journey (inspiration, information, logistical information etc) and includes destination overviews, accommodation, things to see and do, eat and drink, events, maps, how to get here and essential visitor information.

The site can be visited at www.visitmaryboroughandsurrounds.com.au or www.visitmaryborough.com.au
