Vegetation Management Near Overhead Powerlines

Council has contracted Tree Top Tower Hire to carry out Vegetation Powerline Clearance works in Council’s Declared Area.

As part of this program the street trees and powerlines are inspected regularly to ensure no impact to power supply through conflict with trees.

All vegetation maintenance works are required to be carried out in compliance with the Electricity Safety (Electric Line Clearance) Regulation 2020.

These regulations stipulate a minimum safe clearance between tree and powerlines, to keep re-growth clear of powerlines.

The tree works in this area will be carried out over the next 14 to 60 days. Regular auditing occurs throughout the year.

All works will be conducted in accordance with Council’s Electric Line Clearance Management Plan.

For more information, or to find out Council’s Declared Area, visit www.centralgoldfields.vic.gov.au/clearanceworks

If you have any inquiries regarding the above please contact Council’s Manager Operations on 5461 6702.

2022 Centralised Kindergarten Registration

Is your child/children eligible to attend three or four-year-old kindergarten in 2022?

The Central Goldfields Shire Centralised Registration Kindergarten Program is now open for all seven kindergartens in the Shire.

The system allows families to lodge their registration forms, including their kindergarten preferences online making it a simpler, more convenient process rather than submitting forms to each kindergarten individually.

For more information and to register www.centralgoldfields.vic.gov.au/centralenrolment or email central.registrations@cgoldshire.vic.gov.au

Carisbrook Levee construction

As part of Stage 3 of the Carisbrook Levee construction, culverts will be constructed under the Pyrenees Highway near Pleasant Street, Carisbrook.

To allow the culverts to be installed, several utility services need to be relocated.
