The new outdoor exercise equipment at Princes Park in Maryborough was officially opened this week.
The equipment features four exercise stations, providing a total of 10 pieces of exercise equipment. A water fountain has also been installed on site to keep users hydrated.
The equipment has been installed just next to Lake Victoria, within the Adventure Playground precinct.
The project has been made possible thanks to funding by the Victorian Government’s Regional Jobs and Infrastructure Fund.

PROJECT UPDATE
Phillips Gardens Irrigation Project
Works to upgrade the existing irrigation system at Phillips Gardens in Maryborough commenced this week.
The project is thanks to $150,000 in funding from the Victorian Government through their Growing Victoria’s Botanic Gardens grants program – announced in February last year.
The Grant will see the existing irrigation system be upgraded to a central control system (Rainbird), with a master valve and flow meter, which will be more sustainable and will reach areas of the Gardens not currently irrigated.
The project is being delivered by Stephen Dell Plumbing (following a public tender process) and is expected to take 12 weeks to complete.
The Gardens will remain open during the project, however there will be some changes to access at different stages – visitors are asked to please follow directional signage as needed.
Bealiba upgrade complete
The $380,000 upgrade to Main Street in Bealiba is now complete. The project was delivered thanks to the Federal Government’s Roads to Recovery program.
