Thousand Bauble Project
We have partnered with Maryborough Police this festive season to present the Thousand Bauble Project.
Local young people were invited to decorate their own Christmas bauble which will be displayed on trees around the Shire.
The baubles were judged at the Central Goldfields Art Gallery this week (09/12).
The decorated trees, supplied by Council, are on display at local hospitality venues.
A selection of bauble entries will be on public display at Dine Out Goldfields tomorrow, Saturday 12 December 2020.

New botanical labels in Phillips Gardens
154 botanical labels have been installed at the Phillips Gardens in Maryborough recently by our Parks and Gardens team.
The botanical labels are now in place on all trees and significant plants and feature the common name, botanic name, country of origin and species.
The labels were made possible thanks to a $20,000 State Government Growing Victoria Botanic Gardens grant that also funded the planting of a number of advanced trees at the Gardens earlier in the year.
