Have Your Say

During the months of November and December, the Central Goldfields Shire Council is providing a number of ways for community members to have their say and contribute towards the:

  • Population, Housing and Residential Settlement Strategy – have your say about growth and development
  • Your Community 2030 – have your say about community plans
  • Recreation and Open Space Strategy – have your say about spaces and facilities for recreation and getting active in our Shire

Your Community 2030 – drop-in sessions

Council is inviting feedback from the community on what is needed to make their community a great place to live – now and into the future.

Recreation and Open Space Strategy

Central Goldfields Shire Council is developing the Central Goldfields Recreation and Open Space Strategy 2020–2029.  The strategy is being developed through funding support from Sport and Recreation Victoria’s Community Sports Infrastructure Fund Recreation Planning Grant.

The Strategy will guide Council and the community in the provision of, investment in and delivery of open space, sport and active recreation spaces, facilities, services and opportunities in the Central Goldfields Shire.  The strategy will aim to increase the participation of people living in the Shire in sport, recreation and physical activity.

Residents can share their ideas by completing a Public or Club and Organisation Survey.
