Walking and Cycling is proven to be the most effective exercise for overall fitness and cardio vascular strength one can do for themselves and their bodies, 20-30 minutes a day is all you need to make an impact, notwithstanding strengthening mental wellbeing, social interaction and fun.
Expressions of Interest are now open for a new Walking and Cycling Advisory Group.
Council is looking for six community members who are keen walkers and/or cyclists to work alongside Council, government and key organisations to provide advice on how to best implement the Central Goldfields Shire Walking and Cycling Strategy.
The Advisory Group will have several key focuses including:
If you are passionate about walking or cycling and would like to encourage others to start walking or cycling, please take the time to submit an Expression of Interest.
Walking and cycling is a popular pastime in our Shire and this is our chance to increase their popularity and to improve on existing cycling and walking tracks - which our Shire is renowned for.
We are looking for a mixed range of ages, genders, abilities, knowledge and experiences for the Advisory Group.
