Register now for three- and four-year-old kindergarten in 2023

Families with child/children aged three or four years old in 2023 can now register for kindergarten in 2023 through the Centralised Kindergarten Registration Program.

Kindergarten is a great way for children and their families to learn, have fun and make new friends. It also helps to set children up for a bright future by helping them learn important skills to take with them throughout their life.  Kindergarten is now available from age three for even greater benefits.

Parents and carers can apply for all kindergartens across the Central Goldfields Shire using one form with all seven kindergartens participating in the Centralised Kindergarten Registration Program including:

  • A.G. Leech Kindergarten
  • Back Creek Kinder (Talbot)
  • Californian Gully Kindergarten
  • Dunolly Kindergarten
  • Goldfields Family Centre
  • Roseberry House Early Learning Centre
  • T.L. Stone Memorial Kindergarten

Go Goldfields Manager Carolyn Bartholomeusz said Central Registration makes it simpler and more convenient for families to book their children into local kindergartens.

“The Central Registration process had been refined this year to manage kindergarten placements and ensure fair and transparent process for families and centres.

“Access to kinder education increases a child’s opportunities by providing benefits for their health and wellbeing, social skills and confidence and strongly aligns with the Go Goldfields Every Child, Every Chance initiative.”

Go Goldfields Program Coordinator for Central Registration Robyn Pryor said we have seven wonderful kindergartens in our Shire and so we encourage families to contact the centres individually to help decide what option works best for their children.

All kindergartens in Central Goldfields Shire want to see the best for all our children and care deeply. Parents and carers can visit the kindergartens to take a tour on their open days listed at www.centralgoldfields.vic.gov.au/centralenrolment
