Preparing for the fire season

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to prepare their property for the upcoming fire season.

It is so important to maintain your property for the duration of the summer months – to keep both you and the community safe.

Our Municipal Fire Prevention Officer is currently assessing properties across the Shire for fire hazards.

If you receive a Fire Prevention Notice, it will outline necessary works required to improve the safety of your property.

If you receive a notice and you require assistance in carrying out the requested works, or would like more information on Fire Prevention Notices please contact our Customer Service team on 5461 0610.

And don’t forget, Council is currently offering FREE green waste disposal at our Transfer Stations at Talbot, Carisbrook and Dunolly every weekend until Sunday 19 December.
