A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to meet with LEAD Loddon Murray to learn more about the changes they’ve made to their very successful Leading Excellence Maryborough program.

This year, to broaden the reach of the program, they’ve developed a workshop series, whereby the community have the chance to attend all, or part of the events that are on offer.

They hope that by doing this they can encourage as many community members as possible to get involved.

I encourage you to take the opportunity to get involved if you can, this is an opportunity for you to learn skills and meet new people and extend your knowledge – and its right here on your doorstep in Maryborough.

If you’ve been interested in making a difference in your community, by taking on a leadership role on a local committee or board or, if you are thinking about serving on Council - this program will give you the skills and confidence to do so.

A key focus of the program is developing leaders who will influence the narrative of the community of Maryborough, instilling pride, confidence and connectedness in community members and the collective identity of the town.

To find out more and to register visit Alternatively, to register for all eight workshops please contact Lisa Renato - or 0439 631 231.
