I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and a happy new year!
It’s that time of year when our young people might be sitting at home and getting a bit bored.
Our January School Holiday Program is back and there are heaps of fun activities our younger generation can get involved in.
The Maryborough Regional Library, Central Goldfields Art Gallery and Engage! Youth have organised some great activities – many of which are free or a gold coin donation.
The School Holiday Program kicks off this week with the library hosting a series of activities for children aged three and up while the Engage! Youth program will get underway from next week.
The gallery’s program will be held on Wednesday 22 January and features a series of workshops.

Once again, we are offering medallions to all babies born in the Shire during the previous year at our upcoming Australia Day celebrations at Station Domain on Sunday 26 January from 8.30am.
This has become a popular local tradition and if you welcomed a new addition to your family in 2019, I encourage you to email email@example.com with proof of birth or post it to Central Goldfields Shire Council’s Customer Service Centre, PO Box 194, Maryborough VIC 3465.
Similarly, if you have a child who is about to start kinder this year, they can receive a book from Go Goldfields.
To register your child for a book, email their name, the kindergarten they are attending, your name and contact phone number to firstname.lastname@example.org
