With the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, it’s a really difficult time for our community.

There’s uncertainty and anxiety as we all try and navigate this new situation we find ourselves in and there is still a long way to go.

There’s an abundance of information and regulations and responses are changing so rapidly that sometimes it’s hard to keep up.

What we do know is that this situation is very serious and we all must make changes to the way we live our lives so that we can reduce the spread.

We all have an essential part to play.

We need everyone to practise social distancing, stay home if you can and practise good hygiene.

As an organisation we have made significant changes to our services to help reduce the risk to both our community and our staff and volunteers

Face to face interactions are on hold but its business as usual with staff available via phone and email.

It’s been particularly encouraging to see how our community has responded to the changes.

It’s a very tough time for our local businesses and so many of them have already altered the way they do business – with delivery options, takeaway, increasing hygiene and the list goes on.

We are with them every step of the way and I encourage our local community to support however they can.

If you haven’t already – pick up the phone and call family and friends who may be feeling uneasy at this time – check in on them see if there is something you might be able to do to assist.

As a community we must unite, be kind and support each other.

Spread the social distancing message, keep informed and remember to look after yourself and each other.

And remember for latest, most reliable and up to date health information visit
