I hope you all had a happy Christmas and spent time with your loves ones, friends, gave generously and ate too much food. I know I did.
If you are planning on travelling, please stay safe on our roads and take regular rests on longer trips.
As busy as this time of year can be, I hope you have all taken the time to spend quality time with your loved ones and friends and reflect on the year gone by.
As we prepare to say goodbye to 2018, we are getting ready to say hello to 2019.
2019 will be another big year for Council and our Shire, with many great projects outlined in our Priority Projects Plan.
The Priority Projects Plan, which is available at www.centralgoldfields.vic.gov.au, is a wish list for our Shire and Council will be advocating hard to see these ideas become a reality.
New Year’s Day is one of the biggest days for Maryborough and the Shire.
The Highland Gathering is believed to be Australia’s oldest continuous running sporting event and never fails to attract thousands of people to our Shire.
I encourage all residents to support this great event, which begins with a street parade along High Street before all the action gets underway at Princes Park.
Here’s to the year 2019, which I hope is full of fun, love and laughter for you.
