New exhibitions at Art Gallery

New pop-up exhibition, Articulating Our Art, is arriving at the Central Goldfields Art Gallery this Friday 7 December as part of International Day of People with Disability celebrations held earlier this week.

Articulating Our Art is an exhibition presenting works from ASTERIA participants that translates their thoughts, feelings and passions.

The pop-up exhibition will be launched at 11am tomorrow, Friday 7 December.

The Art Gallery is also displaying works from its permanent collection and local and regional artists in the exhibition Treasures from the Collection from today Thursday 6 December.

The Gallery’s final two exhibitions of the year wrap up a successful 2018. This year, the Gallery has hosted several popular displays including Wal Richards: Wedding Photographer, Oceanarium – Deep Sea Other World and It Takes a Child to Grow a Village.

The Central Goldfields Art Gallery is open Thursday to Sunday, 10 am to 4pm and is located in the Old Fire Station in Neill Street.

The Art Gallery will be closed for the Christmas/New Year period from Thursday 20 December and will reopen on Thursday 17 January, 2019
