Works to upgrade the Maryborough Regional Library will commence shortly.

The project will see the Library refurbished and modernised with a circulation desk and flexible shelving. Fresh paint and carpet will also be delivered as post of the project.

The community and Library users will also greatly benefit from the upgrade as there will be more room in the Library for popular services including children's programming, school holiday events and seniors activities.

To make way for the redevelopment, the Maryborough Regional Library will be closed to the public from Monday 29 November as the Library is re-located to the Maryborough Resource Centre atrium. The Library will re-open on Monday 6 December, temporarily operating from the atrium while our renovations are completed.

The public toilets within the centre will continue to be accessible and our 24/7 outdoor returns chute will remain operational.

The project has been made possible thanks to $145,000 in funding from the Victorian Government's Living Libraries Grant which was announced in April 2021.
