Central Goldfields Shire, together with retail and marketing consultants Hello City and Grosz Co Lab, will hit the streets of Dunolly this weekend to support local businesses to recover from the pandemic.

The ‘Outdoor Retail and Promotional Pilot’ is funded as part of the Victorian Government’s COVIDSafe Outdoor Activation Fund  and will be launched at 1.30pm this Sunday outside 95 Broadway Dunolly.

The community is encouraged to come along, enjoy a cool drink and a bite to eat. While there you can check out the new, creative and imaginative ways we are finding to showcase our fabulous local main street traders and makers in Dunolly.

Get yourself a magical find with antique gems, baked goods along with new and traditional handcrafted works from Dunolly’s own artisans, artists, ceramicists and sculptors.

The goods will be displayed in handcrafted carts and barrows created by award-winning craftspeople and retail / marketing consultants Hello City and Grosz Co Lab.

If you can’t make it down on the weekend, don’t worry the carts will be popping up on the streets of Dunolly through to the end of January.

Central Goldfields Shire Flynn Ward Councillor Liesbeth Long said any project that supported the local business community was a welcome one.

“We have such a diverse retail offering in Dunolly and I’m excited to see that it will be showcased as part of this project.

“Get your family and friends together and let’s all support our local business community this Sunday.”

Dunolly Traders Incorporated Chairperson Thea Hillier thanked the local business community for getting on board at what is a busy time of year.

“As chairperson of the Dunolly Traders group I’m proud of the fact that we have not only been given this “pilot” opportunity, but it should help provide Dunolly with more exposure over the coming months.

“Thank you to Victorian Government for the funding to make this possible and to Council and Hello City for their support in getting the project up and running so quickly.”
