Central Goldfields Art Gallery is a cultural facility of Central Goldfields Shire Council. The art gallery is situated in the picturesque historic fire station built in 1861, a short walk from the CBD.
The gallery’s changing exhibition program showcases local and regional artists, and includes diverse touring exhibitions. Community engagement is supported with an annual community art & craft exhibition and local schools’ VCE art and design.
The Gallery Art Collection is exhibited permanently in the Casey Room, and features artwork by local and regional artists, plus two oil paintings by the late, well-known Australian artist, Pro Hart. Education programs for school children and Friends of the Gallery programs are run throughout the year.

Admission to the gallery is free and a donation is gratefully accepted.
Opening hours are Thursday to Sunday 10am to 4pm.
Tour groups welcome all week, but bookings are essential.
