Waste Management

Central Goldfields Shire has a waste management system, which is easy to use, reduces waste to landfill and encourages recycling. Council provides both urban and rural waste management and recycling collection services together with a hard waste/green waste collection service.

The 2011 - 2016 Waste Management Strategy for Central Goldfields Shire was adopted by Council at its Ordinary Meeting on 27 July, 2011. To download a copy of the strategy, please click the link below.

Waste Collection

Council has a colour coded waste collection system, which is in line with Victorian standards. It incorporates the collection of waste, recycling and green waste. Full details about the system can be read in the Waste Management Guide (above). The current waste collection calendar can be downloaded below:
